Aloe vera / P15

Aloe vera is a sculptural plant known for its compact, spiralling rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves, often with warty surfaces and toothed edges. It thrives in containers and is ideal for conservatories or as a houseplant, particularly outdoors during summer. The sap extracted from its leaves is popularly used for its soothing properties on burns and in cosmetics. For optimal growth, it should be planted in peat-free, well-draining compost and placed in full light with good air circulation.
