Dicksonia antarctica

Dicksonia antarctica, commonly known as the soft tree fern, is an evergreen tree fern that can grow up to 4 metres in height. It features a stout reddish-brown stem and a rosette of glossy dark green fronds, reaching up to 3 metres long. It prefers moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil and requires winter protection in colder climates. Generally, it is disease and pest-free outdoors and propagates by sowing ripe spores.
