Astilbe Dark Side of the Moon  is a robust, clump-forming perennial reaching heights of up to 50 cm. It features finely divided, textured foliage that changes from yellow-bronze-green with dark margins in spring to rich chocolate-purple as the season progresses. The plant produces dense raspberry-red buds that open into rosy-purple flowers in summer. Ideal for moist but well-drained or boggy soil, it thrives in dappled shade or indirect sunlight. However, it is drought intolerant and may be susceptible to certain pests and diseases.
