Knautia mac. Melton Pastels

Knautia macedonica ‘Melton Pastels’ is a seed-raised, clump-forming perennial reaching up to 90cm tall. It features lance-shaped, dark green basal leaves and finely divided stem leaves, with pincushion-like flower heads in colours ranging from deep red to mauve, pink, and salmon, blooming from early summer to autumn. This plant prefers moderately fertile, alkaline, well-drained soil in full sun and requires propagation by seed or basal softwood cuttings. It may be susceptible to powdery mildews and aphids.
